Targets
We are committed to achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2050, reducing our actual emissions by 90% and offsetting the residual emissions by removing greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere.
We are also committed to achieve the following near-term targets:
- Reduce emissions from Scope 1 Company vehicles by 5% yoy for the 5 years form 2022-2027
- Reduce emissions from Scope 2 office electricity by 5% yoy for the 5 years form 2022-2027
- Reduce CO2e / £m revenue for our value chain emissions by 7% yoy for the 5 years form 2022-2027
Actions
We have committed to reducing emissions year on year by:
- Offset 2021 carbon footprint with Gold Standard carbon credits.
- Investigate Electric company cars when lease renews.
- Reduce face to face meetings to 1 in 3, 2/3 to be done virtually.
- Reduce office thermostat by 1 degree.
- Investigate renewable energy for office.
- Reduce GB IT cloud storage 7% yoy by deleting emails/archive large files.

Activities
We have provided improved cookstoves in East AfricaWe have invested in a carefully selected range of offsetting projects, like this one that provides improved cookstoves in East Africa. Not only do these reduce emissions through using up to 80% less wood, but they also help reduce childhood scalds/burns and create jobs in the local economy, most of which are taken by women. All of our projects have been certified to reduce carbon emissions and have strong additional benefits including health benefits, saving low-income families money and reducing deforestation. All projects in this portfolio are Gold Standard Certified.
